Men like me

Men like me are not sent to you as a gift by heaven nor fate.
Men like me do not come into your door as a neat gift with ribbons, bows and colorful wrapping paper for being a good girl.
Men like me come to your place with the smell of alcohol from our breaths, scent of cologne in our necks to hide the cigarette smell from who knows where.

You would let me in, like I know you would, like I know a nice girl would.
Something about me makes you uneasy, something hidden, something dark, but it would not matter.
I look at you and see something I want and I just take it.
I would look at your soft lips and take it, hold your body like it belongs to me, like everything about you belongs to me.

Men like me would love you like no other, would treat you like no other, and we do it purposely so you would not see that
Men like me are selfish. We do what we want and get what we want and do anything in order to get them.

Girls like you believe everything guys like us say. Girls like you would think they can make guys like me change.

But I do not change. Guys like me do not want to change. So we just take and take and take until you have nothing left.

“My old man is a bad man, but I can’t deny the way he holds my hand and he grabs me, he has me by my heart.” – Lana Del Rey (Music Video Clip)
