I remember a white flower planted in a pot and placed near my living room’s window on a winter day. It was trying its best to survive the winter and be able to make it to spring. Hoping it could see the light of the next day… just one day at a time. But its petals grew dreary with each passing day, and its life was slowly waning.
I think that is how she loved me. She tried her best to make me happy with each passing day. She did everything she could so that our love would survive. But each day my love for her was slowly fading away. Still she tried her best and put more effort against all odds. But we both knew it was over. She cried… that was all I remembered.
I saw her again walking down the street, holding a guy’s hand. She wore a spring dress that looked great on her slender body, a sun hat, and a pretty smile on her face. She looked beautiful… glowing and more beautiful than ever. So I whispered to the wind, “I wished you’d stay happy like that, always. I hoped he won’t let any tear fall from your eyes like I did. I hope he would realize that you love with all of your heart, and I hope he would love you with all of his heart as well.”
