Landscape And Poetry

Warm and gentle

Warm and gentle, the morning sun light beamed through the glass windows, waking me up. Instinctively, I reached out for her, my other half. As I wrapped my arms around her, I could feel a little smile coming out of me and in that moment I knew that I was truly happy.

The cool wind coming from the air conditioner gave me chills when it came into contact with my skin as I sought more and more comfort and warmth from her body. I enveloped my body around her from top to bottom until there was no longer space between our skins. Where I could feel her lungs inflate and deflate on my chest, where I could smell the scent of her hair, and where our hearts would pulsate as one.

There was no pretending nor hiding anymore, I love her and that is crystal clear to me now. As I felt my love growing stronger, I wanted to always be there for her, to protect her underneath these arms of mine that no tears would fall from her eyes, no wounds would be etched into her heart, and no type of worry would come to her mind. In my arms is where she belong, it is where she is wanted, and it is where she will always be loved.
