A common joke in the Philippines is that the pork buns or steamed buns are made out of cats. The street vendors are not inspected in the Philippines. So you don’t know what kind of meat they put in there. So when I was a kid, my cousins would tell me that the pork buns are made out of cat meat which is not true. They got the pork buns from a restaurant. The joke is now an urban legend.
